9/23/09 Quarterly meeting has been postponed
The 9/23/09 meeting has been postponed until Oct. 1, 2009. The meeting will still be held at the North MS Law Enforcement Training Academy in Tupelo. The board will meet at 1000 and the general meeting will be at 1300.

2009 CONFERENCE/COMPETITION TRAINING DAY
The 2009 Conference/Competition Training Day will be held at the Tupelo Furniture Market located at 1879 North Coley Rd in Tupelo on Oct. 19th. Classes will start at 8:30AM and conclude by 5:00 PM.
Snipers: Chief J.C. Denham will provide instruction on weapon maintenance, scope mounting, barrel break-in, etc. You will need to bring your cleaning kit, tool bag, and rifle. Also be prepared to go to the range in the afternoon for some additional training.
Entry: Guy Beveridge of BLACKHAWK! Products Group will conduct a Breaching Operations Familiarization Course. This course will cover:
• Breaching reconnaissance
• Identification of fortifications and locking mechanisms
• Different types and selection of entry tools
• Types of doors and windows and their construction
• Strike points and tools for various types of doors
• Manual and hydraulic breaching
• Ballistic/shotgun breaching
• Selection of primary and secondary breach points
In addition to these classes, law enforcement vendors will be on hand showing their products.

REMINGTON MODEL 870/700 ARMORER CERTIFICATION-MLEOTA
Remington and MLEOTA will host a 3-day armorer class on the model 870 shotgun & model 700 rifle during 11/16/09-11/18/09. Students may attend one or both classes. The cost for the 870 certification is $400.00 and the cost for the 700 certification $200.00, plus any applicable MLEOTA fees.
