2009 NORTH AMERICAN SNIPER CHAMPIONSHIP-Meridian, MS
The 2009 NASC has been scheduled for March 23-26, 2009 in Meridian, MS. Registration forms will be on the website shortly on the “events” page. Cost for each two-man team is $350.00 with a $50.00 discount for each additional team from the same agency.

ADVANCED HIGH-RISK ENTRY TACTICS, August 11-13, 2008
The Southaven Police Department is hosting an Advanced High-Risk Entry Tactics class at the Southaven Police Department Training Center during August 11-13, 2008. The class will be instructed by Chuck Habermel of CQB, Inc. and cost for each student is $300.00. Each student will need all entry gear to include tactical vest, helment, M-4 or MP-5, and pistol. This is a “dry” course and there will be no live fire training. Checks should be made payable to “CQB, Inc.” Contact Captain Johnny Cox at 662-393-8435 for further information.

MTOA SUMMER RE-TRAINER, JULY 31, 2008-MLEOTA
The MTOA will hold a summer “re-trainer” 1-day event on July 31, 2008 at MLEOTA. We will run several combined entry/sniper events (6 man teams). There will be several demonstrations and equipment vendors on hand. Proceeds from the event will go to the family of Clinton PD SWAT Officer Gene Mashburn. Officer Mashburn’s daughter is suffering from a serious brain disease and has recently undergone surgery. MLEOTA is assisting with lunch and will cook hamburgers. Lunch will be $5.00 per plate. Registration forms will be available on the site soon and I will also email them out.

MTOA QUARTERLY MEETING- APRIL 23, 2008
MTOA will hold a quarterly meeting on April 23, 2008 at the FBI Range (MLEOTA) in Pearl, MS. Board members need to arrive at 1000 hours and the general meeting will start at 1300 hours.
FBI Special Agent Carlo Stella, SWAT Team Leader for the Houston, TX office, will give a presentation on the FBI’s dealings with the notorious MS-13 gang.
